In Santa Teresita, an abandoned building collapsed without causing injuries, although it caused damage to a nearby store. The incident occurred at the intersection of 38th Street and Costanera. The floor of the first floor collapsed, affecting the ground floor where a beach goods store is located.
In response to this situation, an evacuation operation was carried out for the surrounding stores and homes, as well as interrupting the electrical supply in the area. Despite the initial tension, it was confirmed that there were no people inside the affected store, as the owners had left earlier.
Both the Fire Department and Civil Defense personnel, after controlling the emergency, reported no injuries. This incident highlights the importance of monitoring and maintaining abandoned buildings to prevent similar events in the future.
